LAKELAND -- This year I ditched the plastic tree -- and not just a real one could take its place. I wanted an experience. That's right, an experience, complete with unrealistic expectations of a road trip not unlike Ralphie's family in "A Christmas Story" when they all sang "Jingle Bells" on their way to pick out a tree. Note to self: even that ended in a popped tire.
